New Girl Finale
It's only been three days since New Girl ended and it feels like quality TV shows are now dead. I'm being dramatic, yes, but there will never be quite a show like New Girl. I'm not going to write an entire post about why this show is so amazing or ranking my all-time favorite episodes. Instead, I decided to break down some of the best parts of the finale, because I've been watching it again and again and again.
Let me start by saying this was one of the best season finales for a show. When I look back at other favorite shows of mine, I finish the last episode either depressed, because it had a sad ending or annoyed because they left things unanswered. With the New Girl finale, I felt happy and like I had closure with all the characters (I know that sounds stupid, its a show, not real life, I KNOW).
Okay, best moments from the finale, here you go:
5.) A perfect insult from Schmidt about Nick. Over the course of the show, this has been my favorite dynamic duo. The constant bickering, the bromance (they had a ten-year friendaversary and called it Tinfinity for crying out loud!). I was happy to have one more funny Schmidt comment at Nick's expense.

4.) One last Winston mess-around! As usual, his pranks are always too big or too small. The fact that Nick and Jess didn't actually have to move out of the loft blew my mind. The fact that Winston just had a newborn and spent all this time on a prank also blew my mind.

3.) ONE LAST TRUE AMERICAN! The entire episode I kept thinking, "If they don't play True American in this damn loft it can't be a finale!" This moment just melted my heart, tbh.

2.) If one last True American in the loft warmed my heart, well it freaking exploded with the flash forward bit. Nick and Jess have a little boy? Schmidt and Cece have a second child? Winston is a father to FIVE? So much is happening right now. But overall, this scene was the perfect way to end it. This was the closure I needed. They all stayed friends and raised their kids together.
Also, what a great way to learn American history as a kid, right?
1.) This moment on the freaking last box in the loft. It gave me chills. Especially since this is right after the time forward scene. Knowing what their future holds before the characters know it. Way to go writers of the show!
Well, that's all I got. I guess it's finally time to say goodbye to an amazing show. Wow, I'm so dramatic, sorry.
